Backed is run by Hidden Cove Ventures LLC and is in early access. This page explains what we collect when you sign up and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address
- Which plan you picked: free or the semester pass
- Which version of this page you saw
- Your answer to "What do you use now to find sources?", if you give one
How we use it
We use your email to tell you when Backed opens. We use the rest to understand which students want Backed and what they use today.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your email or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- We don't charge you anything for signing up.
- When Backed opens, text you paste is used only to find sources. It isn't kept after your session unless you save it, and it's never used to train AI.
Deleting your information
Ask us at any time and we'll delete your signup. Reply to any email we send, or write to the contact address below.
Children
Backed is for students 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
